The Dexter Tigers held the lead the whole game in a 5-1 victory over Central, in Corinth, on Friday, May 5th.
Central tied the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Nate Cox singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
The Tigers’ pitcher Payson Rienhardt lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three. Blaine Gould threw 2 innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Hayden Strout took the loss for Central. The pitcher surrendered four runs on four hits over six innings, striking out nine.
Will Spratt, Ben Bourgoin, Rienhardt, Gould, and Zak Adams all had one hit each to lead Dexter. The Tigers stole eight bases during the game, as two players stole more than one. Gould led the way with three.
